Educational Qualification :
Level 1 Educational Qualification (Class 1 to 5)
Candidates must have passed the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (R.E.E.T.) in the subject for which they are applying and hold the education qualification given below.
Primary School Teacher, Sanskrit Education:
- Senior Upadhyaya or its equivalent traditional Sanskrit examination with minimum 50 per cent marks and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (OR)
- Varishtha Upadhyaya (Or its equivalent traditional Sanskrit examination) with at least 45% marks and 2-year diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition, Norms and procedure) Regulations-2002 (OR)
- Varishtha Upadhyaya (Or its equivalent traditional Sanskrit examination) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) (OR)
- Shastri (Or its equivalent traditional Sanskrit examination) and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (AND)

- This fee is for one time registration, now after paying the OTR fee once, the candidate will not have to pay the application fee again and again.
Selection Process :
All the candidates who want to be recruited for Level 1 (Primary) and Level 2 (Upper Primary) Teacher posts in the state have to undergo the REET Mains Selection Process as part of the REET Mains Recruitment exam. The REET Mains selection process includes the following stages.
- Written Examination– Candidates must appear for the REET Mains exam, which is conducted for Level 1 (Classes 1-5) and Level 2 (Classes 6-8). The exam carries objective multiple-choice questions with negative marking.
- Merit List Preparation- Based on the marks obtained in the written exam, a merit list is prepared for each level and category.
- Document Verification Process- Shortlisted candidates from the merit list are called for document verification to authenticate eligibility, caste/category certificates, educational qualifications, and other relevant documents.
- Final Selection: After successful document verification, candidates are selected for appointment as teachers in Rajasthan’s elementary schools as per the available vacancies.
REET Mains 2025 Exam Pattern
The REET Mains Exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions for a total of 300 marks. The REET exam includes questions from topics from General Knowledge, Rajasthan GK, Pedagogy, Subject Knowledge, and IT. The exam pattern for both Level 1 and Level 2 are same
