Educational Qualification :
For Grade 4 Posts :
Following are the educational qualifications for Multitasking & Maintenance Staff- I, II (Technical & Non Technical ). The minimum qualification are of Class VIII passed and, maximum qualification of HSSLC or Class XII passed is required from a recognized Board or Council.

For Excise Constable Post :
Candidates who have completed H.S.L.C or equivalent from Govt. a recognized Board or Council are only eligible for Assam Police Job Vacancies 2023.
Assam Police Excise Constable Eligibility :
- Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and permanent resident of Assam.
- Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
- Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Assam Police Excise Constable Age Limit :
Candidates possessing an age between 18 to 30 years as of 1st July 2022 (i.e. candidate must be born on or before 01st July 2004 and on or after 01st July 1992) can only apply for Assam Excise Constable Vacancy 2023.

- Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Physical Standards
- Height (Minimum)
a) Gen/ OBC/ MOBC/ SC – 160 cm (Male), 150 cm (Female)
b) ST (H)/ ST (P) – 158 cm (Male), 147.5 cm (Female) - Chest (Only for Males)
a) Gen/ OBC/ MOBC/ SC/ ST(P) – 80 cm (Normal), 85 cm (Expanded)
b) ST(H) – 77 cm (Normal), 82 cm (Expanded) - Weight:- Proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards.
- Must be Physically fit and have a positive aptitude for the job.
Medical Standards
- General: Candidates must not have squint eyes, and should possess high color vision.
Varicose veins shall be considered a temporary disqualification. He/ She must be in good
mental and physical health. He / She must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, or any other ailment that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties. - Eye Sight: The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9
for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.

Salary Details For Grade 4 :
The candidates, who get selected for Assam Grade 4 Jobs 2023 will get a pay scale of Rs.12000-52000, Grade Pay – 4400/- (or) Rs.12000-52000, Grade Pay – 3900/-.
Salary Details For Excise Constable :
Selected individuals will get the pay scale of Rs. 14,000-49,000 (Pay Band No.2) and Grade pay Rs.5000/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Selection Process For Excise Constable :
- Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects will be called for PST &
PET. - The candidates will have to appear in PST & PET at the venue (s) as decided by SLPRB.
Selection Process For Grade 4 :
- After the documents are found correct, the candidates will have to appear in the PST (Physical Standard Test). It will carry no marks.
- Once a candidate clears the PST, he/ she will have to appear in the next Trade Efficiency Test in their respective trade.
- The Panel of Experts will examine and decide on the Profession or Trade Test of the candidates.
